In the absence of separation, there is love. This is not an ultimate state and it is not the feeling of bliss all of the time, even though we could say there is nothing but love. In non-separation, love is all-pervasive and there is nothing which is not love, even though it is not an object. Anything which arises is love and there is nothing which is not love. This is the love which has no opposite. All is love. This is the mystery which cannot be comprehended. Meanwhile in separation, love is something which seems to be absent and must be "got back". It is only there sometimes and you long for it to be there all the time. Love is found in objects, people and ideas. It is temporary. Those things will give you love for a while but with their departure the love goes too. Love is not something you can make happen. It is either there or it is not. Just as the same with separation. it goes when it goes and nothing influences this even though it seems like certain things, actions or people contributed to it occurring. Love is priceless, the great gift of existence. Without it life can be hell. With it, anything is possible.
